The wine combines fruit-driven flavors with a mineral backbone, reflecting the ideal terroir of Pauillac. It has been aged for 16 months, with 40% in new oak barrels and 60% in one-year-old barrels. This wine boasts a medium to full body, medium (+) intensity aromas of cassis, tobacco, leather, cocoa, coffee, blackberry coulis, lavender, vanilla bean, and violets. The palate is dry with medium acidity and medium (+) tannins that are chalky. It has a supple and round finish with a well-integrated freshness. James Suckling rated it 94-95/100, Vinbladet 93-94/100, and Wine Spectator 90-93/100. It is recommended to decant for 1 to 2 hours before serving at a temperature of 16 to 18°C. The wine can be enjoyed now and will reach its peak in 2027.
