Product Marketing La Segreta Bianco 2023, a Sicilia DOC white wine, is a blend of 40% Grecanico, 20% Chardonnay, 20% Grillo, and 20% other varieties. Named after the woods surrounding the Ulmo vineyards, it’s produced exclusively from Planeta family-owned vineyards in Menfi and Sambuca di Sicilia, cultivated sustainably and organically since the 15th century. The wine features a new label inspired by Sicilian flora from Giuseppe Riggio’s “erbario picto,” symbolizing hidden natural beauty. With soils varying from limey to pebbly and altitudes up to 210 meters, the vineyards yield 80–100 quintals/ha. Hand-harvested grapes undergo cold maceration, static sedimentation, and fermentation at 15–16°C in stainless steel, followed by lees stirring for aroma fixation. Pale yellow with sea green reflections, it offers aromas of white peach, citrus, tropical fruits, and honey, with fresh acidity and saline notes. Pairs well with aperitifs, seafood, vegetarian dishes, and sushi. Rated 91 by James Suckling and 90 by Wine Enthusiast, enjoy young or within 2 years.
